Internet Improving Quality of Life

Technology has helped our society in many ways. It has improved the quality of our lives; help us communicate more efficiently and stay in touch with people far away, allows for cheaper goods and services, helps us entertain and so much more. The Internet is one of the major technological advances in the last 30 years. Though it has been around for a while now, it can be argued that it is among the top technologies, in terms of quality-of-life impact.

Just think of how much you depend on the internet. We won't even include the many, behind-the-scene functions the Internet performs (transmitting credit card transactions, powering various kiosks and more). Businesses depend on the Internet to connect with customers, manage their daily operations, store data and advertise. People rely on the Internet for information. All kinds of information. People look for health information, entertainment, relationship information and people love to shop (among other things).

Shopping on the Internet is one area that has help it's rise in popularity. It allows you access to products and services that may be located in another continent. Before the Internet, you may not have even been aware of 'that' store or the fact that they had prices 'that' good. Along with shopping came the coupon and discount resources that could be found on the Internet (check here). I believe, these two things have provided a major boost in the popularity of the Internet and the continued rise in the number of people that use it regularly. Shopping on the Internet is such a big deal because it benefits the shopper and the business owner!
