Iridium Satellite Phones

If you need to have the connection of a phone from any place around the world,  you need a satellite phone. Whether for government , maritime, broadcast media, adventure, sport, or emergency response a satellite phone can be a priceless tool. Iridium satellite phones are the phones of choice for those that need reliable satellite phone communications

A satellite phone is a mobile phone that connects to satellites instead of traditional cell phone towers. Coverage may be a specific area up to all the way to the Earth. Satellite phones send radio signals to a satellite which then transmits back down to earth where a station will then route the call to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). In certain cases the satellite phone service provider will transmit from one satellite to another satellite that has a connection to an Earth station. Outgoing calls are relayed from the satellite phone on the ground to one of the satellites in the line of sight. The call is then relayed from one satellite to another at which it reaches the correct satellite to then connect back down to the appropriate ground station. The call is then transferred to the public voice network or Internet.

The technology is fairly common in this digital age. There are many satellites that assist us in communication and GPS tracking. The difference in good satellite phone service and bad service is your service provider. Sat phone service is an experienced satellite phone service provider.
