Wanting to Hire or Rent a Camera?

I was watching video of a networking event a colleague of mine was hosting this past weekend. He planned the even the really well and he had a mutual friend taking video throughout the event. I knew our friend had some experience behind the camera, but the video looked really professional. I asked my friend about the camera he used and was told it was a Sony HVR-Z1 - High Definition Camcorder. I was impressed!

My friend said he rented the camera from Camerent, for the event. He said he did what was called a  'Sony camera hire' all kinds of cameras, camcorders and video cameras. This was a service that I was not aware of. Apparently you can video camera hire, camera hire, lens hire, camcorder hire, accessory hire or studio hire.
