Metal ....

Technology comes in so many different forms that we often over look much of it. We have become so accustom to certain things being a fact of life, that we forget all the tech that goes into creating the products we depend upon, use daily or need from time to time.

Think of all the things that are made from metal. There are tons of things.Think about the huge exhuast hoods you find restaurant kitchens, the body panels of our cars, the awnings on our homes, or the casing of your computer. All these things require that sheet metal be cut and shaped. There are several ways or technics to cutting metal but three of the main types are laser cutting, shearing and sawing.

Laser Cutting  is usually used to cut metal when extreme precision and fine detail is needed or sometimes metal tubes. This cutting method my be used to create an ornate etching in metal or to perform complicate, ornate metal cuts or to cut odd shapes.  Production Shearing is usually used to cut larger peices of metal and is good for creating shapes with straight sides.  Cutting & Band Sawing  is useful for cutting large sheets of metal but can aslo be used effectively to cut curves and circles.

Metal products are embedded in our everyday lives. Cutting metal is necessary for just about any metal fabrication.
